Thinly sliced beef marinated in a sweet-savory soy and sesame sauce, served over fluffy rice with crisp vegetables.

- 500 g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 0.5 pear, grated
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Method
- Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic and grated pear into a marinade.
- Add sliced beef and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over high heat and sear the beef in batches until caramelized, about 3-4 minutes.
- Divide cooked rice between bowls and top with beef, carrot and green onions.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot.
