A fast, fiery Thai stir-fry of minced chicken, garlic, chili, and basil over jasmine rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Thai chilies, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Add the garlic and chilies and stir for 20 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground chicken and stir-fry, breaking it up, for about 5 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar; toss for 1 minute.
  4. Turn off the heat and fold in the basil leaves until just wilted.
  5. Serve immediately over jasmine rice.
