- 2 cups pitted cherries
- 3 large eggs
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar, for dusting
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350F and butter a baking dish. Scatter the cherries across the bottom.
- Whisk the eggs and sugar until pale, then whisk in the flour and salt.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and vanilla until smooth, then pour over the cherries.
- Bake 40 minutes until puffed and golden and just set in the center.
- Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
