A warm, wholesome baked oatmeal studded with tender apples and cinnamon, ideal for make-ahead breakfasts.

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 medium apples, diced
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F and lightly grease an 8-inch baking dish.
  2. Whisk together the milk, egg, maple syrup and vanilla in a bowl.
  3. Stir in the oats, cinnamon, baking powder and salt, then fold in the diced apples.
  4. Pour into the baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake 35 minutes until set and golden. Cool 5 minutes before serving warm.
