Air Fryer Potato Balls

  • Air Fryer


  • 3 cups leftover mashed potatoes
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup bacon bits
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp chopped thyme
  • 3 tbsp butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • In a large bowl, place the mashed potatoes, eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, thyme, butter, 1/4 cup bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt and black pepper.
  • Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  • Shape into balls and roll each ball in the remaining bread crumbs.
  • Put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to retain the shape.

  • Spray the air fryer tray with cooking spray, then place the potato balls. Cook for 15 minutes at 400 F/ 200C. Rotate and cook foranother 5 minutes or until golden. Enjoy!
